TGITF Friends! After this week's fab finds, Juliet is decked out for spring with a new hat and gloves. Come check out the rest of this week's haul...
As I waited in line at an estate sale to pay for this gorgeous vintage hat, a sweet older lady exclaimed, "Oh that hat will look so nice on you!" I thanked her and smiled but didn't have the heart to tell her I probably wouldn't actually wear it, but isn't it a beauty? It is pristine-- with all of the sequins intact. It will probably eventually go to my Etsy shop but for now I'm admiring it displayed on Juliet.
Here's a closer look at the vintage gloves--the detail on them is just beautiful. Wouldn't they be perfect for a bride? Available
How sweet is this little handmade angel? I love her hand painted face and her apron crafted from an embroidered vintage linen. Available
Crocheted doilies like this one always remind me of my grandmother who taught me to crochet as a girl. This one is in perfect condition! Available
I've seen some fun craft displays created with these wooden hangers, but it's my first time to find them. These are keepers--stay tuned to see how I use them!
Funny, I don't think I've ever shared hats before and this week we started with one and now end with another! This one is very similar to one Dear Firstborn wore as a baby, so of course I had to add it to my new Baby Love section. Available
Until next time, happy hunting!
I have a pair of gloves like those too, belonged to my mother. Great finds this week, wonderful sequined hat!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to stop in and see what you discovered! I love the hat and glove displayed on Juliette. She looks smashing! I think next time I visit, I'm going to come on a Friday so I can tag along with you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Hugs,
Cecilia
My father had those same wooden hangers! He kept his dress slacks on them. I love strolling down memory lane with all your fun finds Cecilia :)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. I use those wooden hangers for a lot of things. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
ReplyDeleteOh those wooden hangers are a great find! I make magazine and recipe holders with mine. Fun!!
ReplyDeleteI wore gloves just like the crocheted ones long ago and love the doll! I also love your dress form.
ReplyDeleteI also think that hat would look smashing on you!:) Growing up we always used those hangars. I never thought they worked very well, so upcycling them is definitely the right thing to do! Lov ethe doily, wish I knew how to crochet! xo kathleen
ReplyDeleteOH MY! such great finds, love the hats. I'd write more, but your ads are sucking the life out of my computer.
ReplyDeleteI need to ride along in your backseat.
ReplyDeleteI am an experienced thrifter, fleamarketeer, and I promise I won't ask silly , annoying questions like 'what are you going to do with that?'.
I do get hungry...

Juliet is looking mighty fine with her pretty new hat and accessories. You did good! Thank you for linking your new old treasures with Talk of the Town.
ReplyDeleteCan I go with you and Laura? I will ask what you are going to do with something because that's always my hangup. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the little angel!!
Oh that hat is pink perfection! I am a bit late to the TOHOT party this week due to my college semester finals but I'm so glad that I didn't miss this. Have a wonderful week.
