Happy Monday, Friends! Lately, I've been on a mission to make the most of different rooms in my home. A few weeks ago, I rearranged and reorganized to create an office nook in my bedroom that is both beautiful and functional. My latest reclaimed work space is a corner for herb drying in my small laundry room...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I have to say finding a Rae Dunn cookie jar at one of the thrift stores I frequent weekly, came as a surprise. To be honest, because my Instagram feed is daily bombarded with collections from the popular designer, I have not been one to jump on the RD bandwagon. However, I do love scoring the unexpected during my thrifting jaunts...
Happy Monday, Friends! This spring I've been taking inventory in my home, mostly considering what's working and what's not. I want my rooms to be beautiful and functional, which is why after recently painting my bedroom, I was inspired to rearrange and edit to create a floral inspired office nook. Soon I'll be sharing the rest of my bedroom refresh, but first I wanted to share one of my updated projects for the room...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This week's fab features are a few of my favorite things: vintage hankies and linens! Have you ever seen a round hankie before--I had not! Don't you love the colors and floral design on this one? AVAILABLE HERE!
Happy Monday, Friends! We have been having gorgeous spring weather here in Texas. Believe me, spring doesn't usually last long here before our early summer temperatures arrive. I'm savoring every minute and also sending warm thoughts to those of you who spring has yet to visit. Earth Day is Sunday, so if you're itching to get outside and plant or start some plants indoors until your weather cooperates, today's 15 minute fix is the perfect repurposed project...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Today's fabulous feature is a little different than usual, because in a manner of speaking, it found me! In fact, thanks to Favorite Son and Darling DIL it was delivered right to my back door. This photo was taken before I cleaned it up, so today I'm sharing my tips for cleaning stubborn scuffs and adhesives, plus a little trick to make vintage luggage really functional for decorative storage...
Happy Monday, Friends! My home will be 19 years old this June and since the master bedroom is the only room I haven't repainted, I decided it was long overdue! As is often the case with my decor projects, one thing led to another so this will be the first of two blog posts featuring my thrifty floral inspired bedroom refresh. I spent less than $50--including the paint! I'm starting with one of the few pieces of furniture I haven't shared on the blog before, my vintage vanity...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! A few months ago, I shared my first thrifted batter bowl find. Determined to stay true to my task of selling more than I keep, I listed the pretty milk glass bowl in my Etsy shop. You can only imagine how thrilled I was when I found this small jadeite batter bowl that matches the larger mixing bowl that came with my vintage 1940s stand mixer. Since the bottoms of these bowls aren't marked except for the occasional small number 6, you'll often see them identified as Fire-King. However, the slightly different shade of green is consistent with my marked pieces of McKee, manufactured in the 30s and 40s. Also, the glass is thicker and heavier than the Fire-King bowls I've collected. Regardless, this sweet little bowl is a keeper!

Happy Monday, Friends! Did you have a nice Easter weekend? I got to see Ginger Grand's Easter basket when I chatted with my kids in Colorado, then enjoyed a lovely lunch in the garden with Favorite Son and Darling DIL. Today I have a simple repurposed planter project you can create to show off your spring blooms...
