Hi there, Friends! As we head into a new year, I always enjoy taking a look back. I find it insightful, because there are two types of readers' favorites--those that I was aware of and those that came as somewhat of a surprise!
TGITF Friends! Do you typically go thrifting during the week between Christmas and New Year's? I made a few stops and scored some great Christmas clearance. I found this sweet vintage hankie for .50! I've sold several Christmas hankies in the past, but this one is a keeper. I am smitten with the tiny delicate details.

Merry Christmas, Friends! I want to wish you all a joyous Christmas and the blessing of peace in the coming new year....
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This last week before Christmas has been a busy one, but I still managed to score several treasures. First, I've seen quite a few Putz houses on other blogs, but I I've never come across any at thrift stores. These were a bargain and even though they have a few bare spots that need a little love, I was happy to find them!

Happy Wednesday, Friends! Have you ever accidentally started a Christmas tradition? Sometimes those that aren't thought out or planned, but just stick on their own can be the sweetest. Here's the story of how I became the annual reindeer food maker....
Hi there, Friends! Today I am sharing a fun repurposed project. While these retro bottle stoppers would be a great addition to a Christmas or New Year's Eve party, they can also add a little bling to a bar cart year round!
TGITF Friends! Wow, is it just me or is December flying by? One of my local thrift stores already had their Christmas items marked down and I scored these lovely vintage teacups--definite keepers!

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Ready for this week's fabulous features? Today's finds were all from the same stop and I'm guessing someone collected angels before passing them on to thrift store heaven! First, a sweet little Hallmark angel with precious details that would be a lovely ornament, stocking stuffer or tree topper for a small tree. Available

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Ready for this week's fab finds? Needlepoint pillows have been good sellers for me, so when I see one in great condition like this one, I usually grab it. I was instantly drawn to the pretty dove and message, so this one is a keeper!

Hi there! Throughout the weekend, I saw photos and posts from friends decorating for Christmas. There's just something about this joyous season that brings out the child in us, isn't there? Today I'm sharing my mantel and a simple tree skirt, both inspired by The Nutcracker Ballet.
TGITF Friends! There's nothing like a thrifty box of Shiny Brites to put me in the Christmas spirit! Don't you love the box too? I'm as excited to decorate with it as I am the ornaments!

Happy Wednesday, Friends! For many of us, the holidays are often the busiest season of the year. Today I'm sharing a project that is so simple, it doesn't even fall into the 15 Minute Fix category! {By the way, that series will resume after the holidays!} No paint or glue necessary--all you need is an assortment of pin frogs, a topper for your "tree" and 5 minutes!
Hi there, Friends! I enjoy the challenge of crafting with thrifted treasures. Today I'm sharing a fun project that I created by combining a few of my recent finds.
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Can you believe it's less than a week until Thanksgiving? It's fun to discover seasonal treasures during my thrifting adventures. I picked up this vintage orphan Pilgrim boy shaker by Hallmark, hoping I just might find his mate. You never know, right? Well instead I found a sweet little Pilgrim girl, a Gurley candle from the sixties. I have always admired their distinctive features. I didn't realize when I found her, how similar in size they are. Don't they make a cute couple? Just in time for Thanksgiving!

It's no secret that I have quite the sweet tooth--so today I'm sharing a few of my favorite Christmas sweets.
Hi there, Friends! Are you hosting for Thanksgiving or Christmas, or perhaps New Year's Eve? Today I'm sharing a DIY project that could easily be completed in a weekend--before guests begin to arrive for the holidays. Upgrading the hollow core doors in my kitchen had been on my "to-do" list for ages. While there's many ways to upcycle doors and no shortage of tutorials out there, I opted for something a little different. Oh, and if you are perfectly happy with your doors, but would love to switch your doorknobs for vintage, keep reading!
Happy Saturday, Friends! Today Jemma, from At Home with Jemma is featuring Secret Garden Herbs as one of her Etsy Christmas shops! She'll be sharing special selections...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I hope you're having a wonderful week. I found some real treasures--the kind I'm not likely to part with! Would you believe, I had just pinned these very dishes as ones to watch for when I found them the following day? Even better, I paid less than .50 for the two plates and cup! You'll be seeing more of these lovelies during the holidays. The pretty Christmas Holly Berry patterned milk glass was made in the sixties by Termocrisa, the brand manufactured in Mexico by Fire-King. Isn't it festive?

Happy Wednesday, Friends! During the fall and winter months, I find it so convenient to make soup in the crockpot. Today I'm sharing my recipe for garden fresh organic herb stock that's flavorful and nutritious, plus it can be frozen, so it's always on hand when it's time to make soup.
Hi there, Friends! My mother and stepfather just returned from a Grand Mediterranean cruise. The photos are absolutely gorgeous and I thought you might enjoy a little virtual getaway! This scenic view is taken from the ship as they approached the port of Venice, on the last stop of their journey. Isn't it breathtaking?

TGITF, Friends! Okay...you see the plates in the photo and are probably thinking: Seriously, MORE transferware? You may even be wondering what one person could possibly do with so many plates! Well today I'm going to show you exactly what I did with these lovelies I found during my shopping trip with Cecilia B, plus others from both recent and past fabulous finds...

Hi there, Friends! Are you enjoying a relaxing weekend? We had lovely weather so I went to an estate sale and several yard sales. I often share seasonal mantel displays but today I wanted to show you a recent upcycle I gave my faux fireplace.
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! As promised, today I'm sharing my fabulous finds from my recent thrifting adventures with Cecilia @The B Farm and she'll be sharing her treasures today too. First, like the store name, I was instantly smitten when I spied this vintage mother deer and fawn. You may remember, I already have the matching antlered buck. Aren't they sweet? I also found this fun sparkly pom-pom garland...

Happy Wednesday, Friends! If you follow my blog, you know I have a sweet tooth and brownies have always been a weakness. My kids would tell you that on more than one occasion, when they got up for breakfast, they caught me standing over a pan of brownies. True confession. While my love affair with brownies hasn't changed, I do try to make healthier choices now. Today's recipe will not only satisfy your sweet tooth, the surprising secret ingredient packs enough protein to qualify these scrumptious brownies as breakfast.
Hi there, Friends! I've often said that one of the best perks of blogging is the sweet friendships formed. Today I'm sharing highlights from my visit with my dear friend Cecilia, blogger at The B farm.
TGITF Friends! Well October is flying by, isn't it? While Cecilia B was here, we made the rounds to all of my favorite local thrifting haunts and spent some time in charming Fredericksburg too. I'll be sharing those finds next week. Ready to see this week's features? I rarely pass on old rolling pins so I grabbed this one when I saw it at a yard sale. Isn't the hand painted wooden scoop lovely? They're both Available.

Hi there, Friends! Today I'm sharing my latest DIY project. I had been wanting to upgrade my dated kitchen light fixtures and ideally, hoped to replace the shades without having to change out the entire fixtures. However, after hunting unsuccessfully for some time, I was beginning to wonder if this would be an option. That is, until I shopped in Round Top...
