Happy Wednesday, Friends! Recently I received the cutest gift from my thoughtful friend, Carly. She gave it to me at our Bible study one evening and I could hardly wait to play with it! The following morning, this playful summer mantel came together almost effortlessly...
Actually, the gift included three items...
...of course I love them all! Isn't it meaningful when a friend knows you so well? The shovel canvas and burlap garden themed signs couldn't be more perfect with the picket fence I crafted from yard sale salvage back in the spring. After placing the tall shovel in the center, I used a thumb tack to secure each mini sign in place on the fence.
Next, I added some bottle vases of purple cone flower (Echinacea), a yard sale watering can and Bunny Foo-Foo, also from a yard sale and nick-named by Ginger Grand.
On the other side, a birdie bud vase, some herbs and a few gorgeous heirloom seed packets I bought on clearance and tucked away. Let's be honest, I'm not likely to plant turnips or mustard greens but how divine are those graphics--did I buy them just for the pretty pictures? Guilty as charged!
Here's a view of the full mantel:
Remember to drop by tomorrow for the latest Vintage Charm party!
What's currently on your mantel or favorite shelf?
MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR FEATURING THIS POST:
I dig it too! Definitely perfect gifts for you! They look so cute styled on your mantel. As for the seed packets, the graphics are wonderful - I'd have bought them for that too (I've been known to buy wine because I just liked the label!). Bunny Foo-Foo is still my favorite bunny, I've seen. Adorable!

That's one of the cutest mantel vignettes I've seen, Cecilia! The fence salvage really makes it, but the gifts are totally adorable.
