Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! When I saw four of these pretty aqua teacups for $1.25, I couldn't grab them quick enough! Although they looked like Depression Glass, I suspected they were reproductions because I've never seen this color before. Keep reading to see what I learned plus how I upcycled them for the holidays...
Thanksgiving Greetings Friends! I hope you are enjoying a sweet time with family today. I just want to take a moment to let you know I am thankful for you, and I appreciate the time you spend reading my posts and leaving thoughtful comments!
Did you notice the new look here on the blog? You'll see larger photos and if you hover over each section of the blush pink bar, you'll find a drop-down menu with organized categories for the blog posts you prefer. Bear with me as I am still tweaking some of the older photographs, but after the holiday, I hope you'll take a moment to explore the new features. Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Monday, Friends! It's time for the latest 15 minute fix. This year I've purposed to keep my Christmas decor simple. Instead of decorating with my large tree or nutcracker-inspired decor, I'm opting for several small nearly naked trees. I shared the first a few weeks ago featured in my repurposed sewing basket tree stand. I say "nearly" naked because I'll add mini lights and a tiny floating garland. Today I'll show you how to use mini pinecones from the dollar store to create this simple garland...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! The holidays are upon us, and it's always fun to find thrifty seasonal decor. Today's fabulous finds were each .25 or less!
Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #209! Please note there will be no party next week as we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families. That means this week's party will be extended an extra week--link up through Sunday, December 1!
Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today I'm pairing vintage and natural decor to create several Thanksgiving vignettes as part of the We Gather Together Thanksgiving blog hop hosted by Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! At the beginning of the month, I attended a neighborhood yard sale. Does anyone else get a little giddy after parking curbside and anticipating several sales on the same block? At one of the first sales I visited, I saw this vintage sewing basket. I inspected it closely but then walked away because I couldn't think of the "right" place for it. However, it only took me a few minutes to go right back to the $5 find and tell the seller I wanted it. This was one of those times a piece "spoke" to me before I was inspired how to use it...
Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #208!
Happy Monday, Friends! This weekend I went to one of my favorite annual craft sales at a local church. Come along for a virtual tour and enjoy!
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Today I'm sharing fabulous finds from a recent visit to Houston. Several weeks ago, my mom treated me to a mother-daughter weekend as an early birthday gift. It was such a treat to be pampered--we shopped, went to a movie, got massages, and ate delicious food all weekend! Of course, Mom scoped out a few resale shops for us check out...
Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #207 and the October Feature of the Month!
Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm excited to be joining the Thanksgiving Tablescape blog hop hosted by Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate! Since I'll be spending the holiday with my daughter's family, instead of a traditional Thanksgiving table, I've set a casual Thanksgiving tea in the garden celebrating my bounty of herbs...
Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This past Saturday, I was treated to a wonderful birthday lunch by Favorite Son and Darling Daughter-in-Law. The weather was gorgeous, and we enjoyed our meal outside then headed to a flea market hosted by one of my favorite stores in nearby Comfort...
