Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today I'm pairing vintage and natural decor to create several Thanksgiving vignettes as part of the We Gather Together Thanksgiving blog hop hosted by Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home...
If you've hopped over after visiting Paula, from Virgina Sweetpea, I know you were inspired by her lovely ideas. To style a simple centerpiece, I layered fresh silver dollar eucalyptus with white pumpkins, vintage dishes and postcards, and candles.
I also added some mini LED lights for extra warmth!
I scored this sweet vintage Mayflower plate for .25 over the summer. I Ioved the colors and knew I wanted to use it for a Thanksgiving vignette. It started out as part of the centerpiece...
...but I decided I liked it better with my mismatched thrifted vintage Pilgrim couple. Does anyone else move things around constantly like I do?
I was thrilled to score this $5 transferware turkey platter several years ago.
You may remember the next two clearance signs from last year. This year, I added some greenery to frame Always Be Grateful and...
...hung the Gather sign inside my large upcycled vintage frame.
Here's a few peeks at last year's Gather Round the Table blog hop.
My mini cornucopia flatware setting was featured in Country Sampler Farmhouse Style Holiday issue. Have you entered the giveaway for your chance to win a copy?
Last but not least, I shared an Herb-y Thanksgiving Garden Tea for Two earlier this month.
Thanks for stopping by! Next up is Crissy from First Day of Home--can't wait to see what she has in store for us!
Lovely, your vintage items are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI love all your vintage pieces Cecilia and don't even get me started on your mini cornucopia flatware setting - that is so cool. I'm all kinds of excited about your feature. Congratulations and Happy Thanksgiving, CoCo

ReplyDeleteThat Plymouth plate was such a great find and is a unique piece to use for Thanksgiving decor. My mom has a candle set like your girl pilgrim that she has used every year that I can remember.

Congrats on your magazine feature! What a thrill! #bloggergoals Love the sweet little cornucopia with the 'thank you' in French! Pinned, and blessed to be hopping with you!
ReplyDeleteYou always have so many beautiful vintage pieces, You have created so many pretty Thanksgiving vignettes! I love the vintage Turkey Platter! What a find! I hope you have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, what great additions to your collectibles for making Thanksgiving vignettes! Of course, I love the dishes, and your deal on the turkey platter was a great one, only to be surpassed by that Mayflower plate! It looks great with the pilgrims. And yes, I am continuously moving things around until they feel right. We do it in our booth spaces, and I do it here at home. I am a bit scrambled in decisions for this year's holiday placements, given our new space. That's all very much part of the fun, though. I enjoyed yours, and those little LED lights are so wonderful. If only batteries were as inexpensive as the lights are! Happy to be in your company this week, as always.
ReplyDeleteCecilia,
ReplyDeleteVintage items are perfect for Thanksgiving... a time for reflection with friends and family. Your flatware is beautiful, definitely worthy of a magazine feature.
