Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Can you believe it's less than a week until Thanksgiving? It's fun to discover seasonal treasures during my thrifting adventures. I picked up this vintage orphan Pilgrim boy shaker by Hallmark, hoping I just might find his mate. You never know, right? Well instead I found a sweet little Pilgrim girl, a Gurley candle from the sixties. I have always admired their distinctive features. I didn't realize when I found her, how similar in size they are. Don't they make a cute couple? Just in time for Thanksgiving!
Another orphaned shaker, this one made in Japan. Isn't he a cutie? Available
Colonial Homestead by Royal is a collector's favorite. I've sold a few and this bread and butter spinning wheel is also available.
I always enjoy discovering vintage handmade goodies like these festive cocktail napkins. They would be a charming addition to a Christmas tea party! Available
This vintage stocking is another handmade treasure. Loving the retro vibe! Available
I could not resist this adorable hand knit infant cap. It is tiny and looks brand new. It would make such a sweet gift. Available
Remember, I'm still honoring the JEMMASFEATURE coupon code for 20% off at checkout at both Secret Garden Herbs and Thrift Store Addiction!
Until next time, happy hunting!
Cecilia, the orphan shakers are adorable- I like the cow (or is it a deer?). I think a collection of them would be so cute! Amazing that the candle is almost the same size as the pilgrim shaker...they do look cute together!
ReplyDeleteReady for the cold weather? Maybe it will finally feel like Thanksgiving is almost here! Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet couple! I went to the thrift store today with high hopes (and a bag to donate) and left empty handed. Boo. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on that retro stocking Cecilia. Very cool, and the cute couple look like they belong together. If you didn't otherwise I would have thought that for sure.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
Great finds! Love the sweet little deer shaker! ~Rhonda
ReplyDeleteI collect Colonial homestead and almost have a full set for a serving of 6. I like to use them at Christmas because they have a Charles Dicken's feel to them and remind me of where Scrooge lived!! LOL!!
