Happy Wednesday, Friends! Welcome to the Creating Christmas link party! I'd like to thank Jann from Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson for hosting and organizing this fun event. Today's theme is Christmas tablescapes and kitchens, so be sure to link your favorites at the end of the post. If you follow my blog, you know that the title of this post pretty much sums up my kitchen!
Cocoa anyone? A vintage knee hugger elf scored at an estate sale plays host and adds a little whimsy to the cocoa bar.
Christmas is my very favorite time to showcase my treasured vintage jadeite collection. Even so, each year is a little different. Last year, I paired red transferware with jadeite in a Snowman Tea for Two.
This year, I used my cake stands to create a miniature Christmas village centerpiece.
I have really enjoyed playing with miniatures this holiday season.
The milk glass Holly Berry plates were another thrift store find and I am loving them arranged with my jadeite.
Another knee hugger and a little Christmas mischief...
I also had fun arranging a festive vintage cocoa bar. Remember the sled tray scored at the thrift store? I added some mismatched vintage mugs, marshmallows and peppermint sticks,
with lighted garland and a few whimsical accents.
Sending you tidings of comfort...
and joy...
and wishing you all things merry and bright, this Christmas!
Now it's your turn to link up your Christmas kitchen and tablescape posts! Visit and be merry!
Remember to link up your Christmas vignettes at Art and Sand and Christmas Trees at Let's Add Sprinkles. Then tomorrow, will be Crafting and Cooking at Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson. All parties will be open until Christmas Eve!
MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR FEATURING THIS POST:

ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. I adore Jadeite. It is almost impossible to find around here except at outrageous prices. Thanks for sharing your amazing collections. I'll be linking up.
ReplyDeleteLove it all...We used to have a ton of knee hugging elves on the tree growing up. I have no idea where they all went. Sneaky little guys! ;)
ReplyDeleteCecilia, you and I have the love of jadeite in common. I have never used my jadeite at Christmastime, but I truly am inspired by all your vignettes. May you enjoy the blessings of this season, and good health in the year to come. Thank you for your presence throughout the blogging community, co-hosting and supporting the love of vintage goodness!

It is always such a treat to see how you display your Jadeite collection! I remember my mother had some pieces when we were growing up. Little did we know then that they would become such fine collectors pieces :)
ReplyDeleteCecilia, it's all just darling! I love your little miniature scenes. Each vignette is candy to the eyes. I love those holly plates with the jadite! I have a serving bowl, but would love to find some plates!! Thanks for hosting and sharing your lovely collection. Sad, that I can't link. :(
