Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I don't know about you, but this time of year is so busy, my visits to the thrift stores have been limited. Since I only have a couple of items to share, I thought it would be fun to show you how I styled my first find. These adorable vintage snowman plates from France inspired a whimsical holiday tablescape....
When I found these clear glass snowman plates made in France, I knew I wanted to pair them with my vintage jadeite dishes. As I'd hoped the snowman design really pops against the green glass plates. I used thrifted napkins from my collection of vintage linens, too.
I created a cake stand centerpiece with another favorite snowman--he was a Christmas past clearance find. Since my plates are French snowmen, so are my Scrabble tiles! {See my mini gingerbread house village on a cake stand, here!}
Tea cups are ready with a peppermint stick...
...and the teapot is waiting to share a hot cup of tea!
Here's a top view of the table-- which means I stood on a stool to try capture the full table in my cozy cottage kitchen and yes, I did paint my oven green!
Now for my last find of the week. I love small stools like this for their versatility alone. On Wednesday, I'll be sharing how I used this one in my Christmas decor...
... as part of the Cozy at Christmas Blog Tour. I hope you'll drop by!
Adorable! I really love the cake stand centerpiece - what a clever idea! AND that you painted your stove - brilliant! I painted my stove HOOD when I made over my kitchen but only white to match the stove. I'm not as brave as you or I would have painted my stove red!
ReplyDeleteLove your table set for tea! Now I want to see your green stove!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! The snowmen plates look great on the jadeite. I always love how you style your cake stand too. This one is so cute...love the sled and snowman. And I love the touches of red. As always, your kitchen is cozy and inviting. Pinning!
ReplyDeleteI have those snowmen plates! Hmmm...now where are they? ;) Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteThose snowman plates are adorable and set off the Jadeite perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at Snickerdoodle.
DeleteVery sweet! I love the plates against the jadeite. I have so many cake plates....maybe I need to make a winter scene in one!
ReplyDeleteCute!! Now I am wanting to drag in from the garage all of my Christmas decor!
ReplyDeleteAww, so sweet! Love the French plates, and of course, your Jadeite collection is drool-worthy! It's a lovely table! I'm ready for tea!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Somebody else's purge was your delightful find - they look terrific on the jadeite!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet table. The peppermint stick is a lovely touch.

Now you've y ou me wondering; do I have enough cake plates in tapering sizes to make a Christmas tree? Hmmmm! Sometimes life with cats is not conducive to stacking stuff higher and deeper. I love the way you style things and Jadeite is beginning to grow on me; never been much of a green fan, but I love how you use it to complement other colors.
