Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Last weekend I went to an estate sale on the second day (half price) and found several vintage baby items I just couldn't resist.....
Available! |
I rarely come across vintage baby finds and when I do, they are often damaged. After finding several tiny treasures I decided to add a vintage baby section, called Baby Love to my Etsy shop, Thrift Store Addiction. First, I adore this sweet handmade baby dress with pin tucks and embroidery. Look at the detail! Available.
Next, I found this adorable embroidered crib sheet and matching pillow case, also in pristine condition. SOLD!
I fell in love with this soft chenille baby coverlet and discovered similar ones online, from the 50s. I can't get over its perfect condition! Available.
From the same estate sale, I also found this fabulous bird cage pillow for $2. I was really surprised it didn't sell the first day. It's definitely a keeper. It was really clean, but did have a musty smell, so I sprayed it with my homemade linen spray and threw it in the dryer for a cycle and it was good as new.
Isn't this handmade retro black and white apron fun? Available.
Surprisingly, these vintage Tupperware salt and peppers still had the stand, plus the gold lettering isn't faded, like most I've seen. SOLD!
Until next time, happy hunting!
Aw, love the baby items...that little deer is just precious. I have several of my baby dresses similar to the one you found. The stitching on them is so nice. The salt and pepper shakers are a blast from the past...I have some only they are newer and orange- we used them for camping. Pretty sure my grandmother had the white ones. Love the birdcage pillow! Great finds, Cecilia!
ReplyDeleteSeveral fun finds. Especially love the chenille baby blanket. That deer is too sweet.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff, as usual! That baby dress's detail reminds me of my kids' handmade christening gowns that came from Ireland. And that chenille blnket is so precious, I LOVE chenille. xoKathleen
ReplyDeleteThe baby things are so sweet. Those Tupperware salt and pepper shakers look brand new. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteOh, I remember those salt & pepper shakers on the table in our kitchen when I was growing up...funny how you forget that stuff and when you see something like this it brings back floods of memories. Once again all great finds! Have a great weekend Cecilia :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, you are just the best thrifter ever!! I wish we lived closer and you could take me along with you! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your finds...the chenille blanket is adorable! We had the S&P set, too...but I've never seen the rack before!

Great finds, Cecilia :) I especially like the crib sheet and pillow case--those chicks are adorable. Nice finds from just one sale!
ReplyDeleteThose baby items are precious!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. If it is any help, I had the deer chenille blanky---when I was little. I was born in 1948...so perhaps it is from then. Sandi
