Dear Firstborn's Visit!

Happy Wednesday Friends! I want to thank you for your sweet comments and thoughts regarding my oldest daughter's visit. We had the best time! Here's my darling girl modeling at our favorite thrift store...

Dear Firstborn lives in Colorado with her girlfriend / GF of seven years. Though I have visited them in Denver and we have met for Christmas in Houston, it was the first time for GF to visit our hometown. What a treat to have them home for their vacation and we had a blast! The first day was full of yard sales and thrifting, followed by lunch at our favorite tearoom, The Peach Tree. We celebrated an early, early birthday lunch for DF. She chose fried green tomatoes and chilled avocado soup, with peach cobbler for dessert--her birthday's not until August, but of course she didn't mind!

Here are the girls posing on Main Street in Fredericksburg, just before we got caught in a huge down pour! It was only a little cloudy when we left my car at the tearoom to walk off some of our lunch--Texas weather! I am happy to report no one melted ;)

The following day, they slept in while I prepared brunch in the garden. (I'll share more on that soon.) Favorite Son joined us from Austin for the day. Here we are after dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant--shrimp fajitas for everyone! The hipster just celebrated his 21st birthday in May.

Look at this adorable hand stitched picture DF made for me! I just love the birdie with a heart in a heart! It's perfect in my kitchen--aren't handmade gifts the best?

Wow Cecilia ... what fun you had with your family. Your daughter is beautiful and sure favors you. Bet you hated to see her leave and already planning for the next visit.

Aww, I'm so glad ya'll had a good visit. Time with our adult kiddos is always welcome, isn't it? I haven't been to Fredricksburg in awhile, I should go for a day trip sometime.
I found some cool stuff at Target yesterday. One item is getting a makeover - it was way marked down. Cool stuff in their SPOT section too. :)
