How I Transformed My Washer and Dryer for $20!

Happy Wednesday Friends! Today I have a snazzy little project to bring some glam to your washer and dryer--no painting or heavy lifting required...

Washer and Dryer Bling

For the past week, I've been on a mission to revamp my tiny laundry room once and for all.  It is coming along nicely and I'll be sharing the reveal on Sunday.  In the meantime, I wanted to give you a sneak peek and show you how I transformed my Plain Jane washer and dryer.

Gold glam appliance decals

I found these fabulous decals on Etsy. I had never seen appliance decals before. Could they be any cuter? I chose gold, but Jenny offers 20 other colors & prompt shipping too--I ordered on Tuesday and they arrived Saturday.  They are reasonable and even the stripes are easy to apply.  I am usually challenged when it comes to applying straight lines of any fashion!  I used painters' tape below each stripe as a guide. I hadn't worked with this type of vinyl before, but they were easy to reposition when needed.

Tutorial for adding appliance decals

Once I applied stripes above and below the dryer door...

...I cut minis for the edges.  Then I added the polka dots to the washer--love the results!

Stripes and dots decals

I am so tickled with my $20 washer and dryer bling! Be sure to come back Sunday to see the rest of the redo and how I finally solved my storage issues in this small multipurpose room!

  2. Would never have thought to do that. BLING, indeed ... you may have to wear your sun shades when you do the laundry. Looks really nice ... clever idea.
