Repurposed Tea Infuser Acorn Door Hanger!

Happy Wednesday Friends! When I was at an estate sale recently, I came across these tea infusers--one quite old and the other shiny new.  I couldn't help but notice their resemblance to acorns and so an idea began to brew...

I found the string of wooden leaves at a thrift store and decided to give them the same Vintage sheet music technique I did here.  I painted the tea infusers in soft muted shades with craft paint I had on hand.

I attached them all to a piece of jute ribbon and topped with a bow.

I hung my thrifty recreated acorn and leaf creation on the backdoor in my kitchen. Do you enjoy repurposing ordinary household items?

  1. hi Cecilia ... This is a clever idea and turned out really cute. I had a large collection of infusers and gave them to my daughter. Will send her your link as she was looking for something for her kitchen wreath.
