Happy Thursday, Friends! It's time for this month's Creative Craft blog hop once again hosted by Donna from Modern on Monticello. Today I'm sharing an easy way to embellish dollar store pumpkins with lovely flowers I found on clearance while I was visiting my girls last week
If you hopped over after visiting Carol from Bluesky Home, welcome! I had a wonderful time with both of my daughters--I only wish I could have packed the Colorado weather in my suitcase! During my visit, I scored these pretty handcrafted flowers at Bath Garden Center for $1 each. Although the tag referred to them as "dried," they appear to be crafted from wood fiber. You can find some similar to these, here!
I really love the texture and knew they would make the perfect embellishment for the faux green pumpkins I found at Dollar Tree a few weeks ago. Of course, you can raid your craft stash for dried or silk flowers to create your own look. Ready to get started? First, remove the plastic stem which you can then replace with dried greenery. I used seeded eucalyptus I had on hand and it fit easily in the small stem hole. Then, use tacky adhesive (or a hot glue gun if you prefer) to attach the floral embellishment of your choice. That's all there is to it! Stay tuned--I plan to feature these in my autumn tablescape in a few weeks!
