Friday's Find: A Dresser for Maddux & Answered Prayer!

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, y'all! As a frequent thrifter, I enjoy helping my friends find that certain something they have been hunting. For my friend Carly, it was a dresser for her son, Maddux.  It was back to school time and his closet was overflowing!  When she had a rare day off from her retail job and asked if I wanted to help them hunt, I was all in.  We agreed to meet at at our local thrift store when it opened a little later.  In the meantime, I was on my way to an estate sale.  When I arrived, this guy seemed to be waiting on me! I sent Carly a pic and she immediately texted back, "I want it!"  So of course, I ran to get a sold tag, while she and Maddux dashed over.  We had it loaded up by 9:30 and they still had the whole day in front of them...

Now here's what I really love about this story...
Some time ago Carly had spent a whole day hunting all over town for an affordable dresser that was in good condition, without success. This time before they started Carly prayed about their need and before the stores opened, her prayer was answered.  She told me on their drive home that Maddux thanked God for "picking out his dresser for him".  How sweet is that?! I have to tell you not only was the dresser the right price, it was in excellent condition. The drawers were lined and perfectly clean!

Proud Maddux shows off his new dresser...

I am so thankful for a God who cares about details like little boys and their dressers.
