Happy Monday, Friends! Are you excited about Thanksgiving? I know many of you prefer to wait until after giving thanks to begin Christmas decorating, but I wanted to highlight my holiday mantel before sharing my Christmas home tour next week. This year I've given these charming little houses a new home
If my Christmas village looks familiar, that's because after gathering and collecting them from seasonal clearance sales, I usually feature them on my vintage buffet. I held fast to my decision to use what I have this holiday season, but I challenged myself to display my Christmas decorations differently than I have in the past.
All the decor featured in this post were clearance bargains--even the lights! The warm white battery twinkle lights have become my go-to for Christmas decorations. Have you tried them? I also really love that each house has a light. Here's a peek of the mantel at night...
...and below you can see the clearance wreath I deconstructed--stay tuned for the details, soon!

Very pretty! I love the lights and all the sparkle! Happy Thanksgiving!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your village. The one part of Christmas decorating my 18yo granddaughter likes is putting up her mother's village. So after Christmas last year, I bought new houses on clearance, thrifted a bunch, bought spare light bulbs, and some accessories on sale. NOW, I have to find her a tote. She will be so surprised!
ReplyDeleteSooooo pretty Cecilia! And clearance makes it that much more fun :) Hugs xx Tanya @twelveOeightblog
