Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Have you started Christmas shopping yet? I recently took advantage of a few early Black Friday and fall clearance sales and scored a few items I plan to feature in my holiday decor...
I spotted these pretty spruce tree salad plates on JC Penny's website. At $18 for a 4 plate set, they were marked as an "exclusive online special." I loved the design but the only thing holding me back from purchasing them was a recent change in their ship-to-store policy. (It used to be free but now they charge extra for customer pick-up.) My local store is very small and I've never seen any dishes there, but since I was out, I decided to drop by...just in case. I was thrilled to see a display set up and they were even lovelier in person but they were priced $14 each! Since I had the set in my cart online, I showed it to the cashier and asked if they would honor their sale in the store. To be honest, I almost expected a rote reply about it being an online special only but to my delight, they gave me the sale price! Cha-ching!
Y'all know I make a point of shopping for items that can be used for multiple seasons. Since these LED candles were 66% off with the fall clearance at Hobby Lobby, the $30 set rang up at $10.20! Incidentally, the Christmas candles were identical except for the color of the package insert. Here's a sneak peek of the Christmas mantel I'll be sharing at the end of the month.
Last but not least, I also scored these copper-topped houses in the fall clearance at Hobby Lobby. Stay tuned to see how I combine them with the other light up houses I've scored previously on seasonal clearance!
Until next time, happy hunting!
Oh, I love those copper topped houses. I just added some copper accents to my family room and they would be perfect for Christmas!!
