Have Yourself A Vintage Little Christmas Home Tour
Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm participating in the Bloggers' Best Holiday Home Tours hosted by sweet Kelly from The Tattered Pew. Every day this week, different bloggers will be opening their homes to share their holiday decor and inspiration, so come on in...
If you hopped over after visiting Kim from Cottage in the Mitten, I know you enjoyed her charming old fashioned Christmas tour! I want to welcome you to my Texas home decked out for the holidays with my vintage favorites. This year, I showcased my vintage ornament collection by crafting this Christmas tree wall display.
Remember the lacy basket I hung over my mantel earlier this fall? For the holidays, I filled it with greenery and mercury glass trees and candle holders. I'm loving the added sparkle!
My Christmas tree decorations are inspired by one of my favorite books, The Secret Garden.
Stay tuned--I'll be featuring it in more detail soon!
Here's a view of the living room.
I dressed up my vintage book Christmas tree with velvet ribbon and lights this holiday season.
This little chickadee flew over to the sofa table to frolic under a trio of snowy trees!
My nativity set is a cherished heirloom. When my mother was a little girl, she gave my grandmother a piece each year for Christmas. My grandmother handed it down to my mother, who in turn passed it on to me.
I proudly display it every year. I'm featuring it on my mantel this season and will be sharing a more detailed post about it next month.
Here's a sneak peek at the Enchanted Forest themed tablescape I'll be featuring next week!
I added to my bargain collection after the Easter and fall seasonal sales creating an entire magical village for a fraction of the cost!
During the early Black Friday sales, I found a great deal on this blush pink velvet bedding from the Better Homes & Gardens line at Walmart. It is gorgeous and so soft!
I added a single Christmas tree throw pillow with sparkly accents that shimmer in the light.
Isn't this metallic cardinal sweet?
Simple vignettes are a quick way to add instant holiday cheer to a nightstand or bedside table.
Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you a holiday season that's merry and bright and a joyous Christmas!

Believer, herb gardener, dishaholic, lover of dark chocolate, Southern girl, and thrift store junkie. I’m passionate about finding beauty in imperfection. I adore decorating and gardening but as a single parent have always needed to do both on a budget. Thrifting-- my all inclusive verb for shopping resale shops, thrift stores, estate and yard sales is not just my hobby but rather a lifestyle. It supports my habit of collecting Vintage dishes and Pyrex and over the years has proven invaluable for decorating and re-decorating. I am passionate about transforming and repurposing cast away furniture and love furnishing my home with pieces that have their own history. It has saved me more pennies than I can count and is the perfect solution to almost any dilemma. Your child comes home from school and informs you that he must dress like his favorite super hero TOMORROW? Your daughter can only wear modest knee length skirts to respect the local culture on her upcoming mission trip? Volunteer to host the next ladies event but then realize you don't own enough matching glasses? The answer to these questions and so many more: THRIFTING! Last, but certainly not least--thrifting is all about re-cycling, re-imagining and re-creating; the best way to shop green!
