Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Have you seen these stacking flower pots at Dollar Tree? Maybe like me, you've even walked past them nested on the shelves not realizing their potential. Today I'll show you how they look stacked and planted as a tower garden

While it's easy to overlook the pots on the shelves...

...once they are planted and stacked, they offer lots of possibilities! I planted mine with herbs and marigolds--they were on sale and not only are they deer and drought resistant, they are excellent companion plants for herbs and veggies.

I stacked the tower on a lazy Susan on the front porch near the door so I could easily turn it to snip different herbs. In some of the pots, I planted basil seeds and added a few cute accents like my adorable bunny and mini garden sign.

TIP: I buried rocks from my garden soil in the center portion of each pot to add extra weight. We literally had a storm the day after I planted and I am happy to report that none of the 7 pots toppled!

Until next time, happy hunting!

This is brilliant! I never realized what those pots were really for. This turned out so beautifully. Thanks for the inspiration. 🌸
ReplyDeleteCecilia,
ReplyDeleteI love this....Were these only $1.25 a piece??? And I see that you used 6 of them? Did you just place them on top of each other??? So pretty! Thanks so much for sharing with us!!
