Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today I'm delighted to be joining the Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by my dear friend, Rita from Panoply. Whether you are hosting a Friendsgiving get together or planning appetizers for Thanksgiving, check out these ideas for a charcuterie and wine buffet
If you've hopped over after visiting Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is, welcome! Wasn't her table setting absolutely gorgeous?!
Since I'm not hosting for Thanksgiving this year, I thought it would be fun to create a Friendsgiving spread on my buffet.
First, I wanted to show you how I pulled from my autumn tablescape to transition from August to November...
...and to also let you compare my buffet decor from September to now. See how I created a new look while reusing some of the same pieces?
Here's a view of the entire buffet:
With the exception of one brief cold snap, the weather is still in the 70s here and my newly planted Little Lime hydrangeas are still blooming.
I opted to reuse my copper flatware along with more lovely green apples...
...but purposely selected my vintage Friendly Village dishes for this buffet--although I did reuse the pretty ruffled burlap place mats to create a runner.
Stay tuned--next week I'll be sharing recipes and tips for my pumpkin hummus, homemade artisan crisps, and the easier way to create charcuterie roses--no wine glasses needed!
The copper pieces I used were a find from Colorado a few years back.
I couldn't resist displaying my $5 vintage transferware turkey platter.
I am obsessed with the individual cheese boards and bamboo spoons that were clearance/sale bargains from Hobby Lobby.
Cheers!
I'm so glad you stopped by today! Next up is sweet Kari from Me and My Captain--I'm heading over to visit her now!

Cecilia, your charcuterie buffet looks fantastic and what a great idea Friendsgiving is! ReplyDeleteCecilia, you are ready to welcome friends. I love the idea of a charcuterie board to celebrate friends dropping by. Your buffett looks charming. Love your turkey platter! Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, this is a lovely transition to Thanksgiving with your simple changes made from early fall. And this charcuterie spread is actually my preferred way of celebrating time together with friends and family, vs laboring over the complete meal. I am actually not a fan of turkey, only the sides! I love Friendly Village pattern, amd was so fortunate to score a nearly 80 piece collection from a local estate last year. It always sells so quickly! That said, I am selling part of the huge lot I acquired.
ReplyDeleteI love all the fall touches you included here besides the dishes - the brand wine, the specialty hummus, the copper, etc.
Thank you for celebrating the holiday with your tabletop idea. Enjoy that nice weather!
Cecilia, I have vintage transferware turkey platter envy! I adore its soft color palette and it paired with JB Friendly Village plates. We love charcuterie for grazing and easy entertaining. It’s always a treat hopping with you. Wishing you a wonderful season of Thanksgiving! 🦃
