Greetings Friends! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas surrounded by your loved ones. This year I was blessed to celebrate in a cozy little cabin...
Many of you know this was my first Christmas minus my beloved Ginger Grand. I've said it before and I'll say it again--thank God for Facetime! I am so thankful that it allowed me to be "present" during the family tradition of cookie baking and part of the gift unwrapping with my girls and GG in Colorado. While it wasn't quite the same, it did help. Meanwhile back in Texas...
On Christmas Eve I drove to Wimberly to meet my mom and stepdad where they had invited me to stay with them and was greeted by this sculpture. Where else would you see a giant armadillo decked out with a red bow?!
This was the entrance to our cute little cabin...
... the fire place
...and the room I stayed in, complete with goodies
including Mom's delicious cookie brittle!
On Christmas day, my brother and his sweet family came. They are pictured on the left with my adorable nephew in the center. To my delight, Favorite Son got some unexpected time off from the oil rig and joined us! Mom and my stepdad, Jeff are pictured at the bottom.
During my chat with GG, I showed him the sights and this little owl was his favorite :)
What fun to be with family in that little cabin ... and your room looked so comfortable. Looks like your Mom made the cabin look very pretty for Christmas.

That DOES look cozy! And it looks so much warmer there, than compared to here in Pennsylvania! :) Thank you for taking a part in my Let's Talk Vintage link party!
ReplyDeleteI agree the owl is pretty sweet! Looks like you had a wonderful time. Thanks for linking up to Scraptastic Saturdays.
