Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today I'm excited to be joining my talented friends for the Valentine Tablescape hop hosted by Chloe, at Celebrate and Decorate. I've gathered some of my favorite vintage dishes and valentine decor with an assortment of "love birds." Do you see the first tiny one peeking from the left side of the plate?
I received this vintage Noritake china in the Bancroft pattern as a gift over 35 years ago. I still love the delicate gold design and creamy neutral hues. I've paired them with some sweet dessert plates that were holiday clearance finds. To create a centerpiece, I used an oval platter, fresh flowers, and more tiny birds along with pretty bottles of sparkling water and my DIY lavender simple syrup. Together, they make such a refreshing beverage!
I dressed up the large seltzer bottle with some vintage red and white trim I had on hand. Of course, we need chocolate and candlelight for Valentine's Day!
I alternated vintage paper cupids and hearts at each place setting, as well as the pattern of the dish towel napkins.
Here's a bird's-eye view of the full table...

...and here, you can see the chandy. I've left my luxe velvet ribbon up since Christmas, and if you look closely, you can see some tiny crystal hearts tucked in the greenery plus a sneak peek at my mantel that I'll share next week!
Thanks for stopping by! Next on the hop is Shelley, from Calypso in the Country!
Enjoy visiting the rest of the blogs for more Valentine Tablescape inspiration!
Such a sweet table. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Everything was so pretty. What I liked best was the lace under the centerpiece platter and the braid around the seltzer bottle. When I was a kid, my mom used to buy mill ends of all kinds of braid very cheaply and she trimmed EVERYTHING with it! Let down hemlines, my dolls' clothes, organza aprons for the church bazaar, you name it. Thanx for that memory!
ReplyDeleteThis is a charming valentine’s setting. I like your chandelier and the centerpiece arrangement! The seltzer bottle mix sounds delicious! Your dishes are beautiful and I like how you made the cute red cutouts to add to the dishes!
ReplyDeleteCecelia, such a sweet holiday table. What a beautiful plate stack and I'm crushing on the gold flatware. One of these days I'm going to have to invest in some to match my china. I did a "tweet spring table" last year based on little white birds. We birds of a feather like the same things1
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. Everything is perfect. The plates with the figures displayed are adorable.

Cecilia, your dessert plates are so unique and gorgeous. I love the vines on each of the plates and it goes so well with your gold trimmed dinner plates. Your chandelier is so gorgeous. I love the little red hearts that run through the greenery. The sparkling water and lavender simple syrup mixed together sounds like a delicious drink. I love the lavender lemon tea I was purchasing, so this beverage sounds equally as good. Your candles and dark chocolate completes the design. Very sweet and lovely. As always it is a pleasure to blog hop with you. Happy Valentine's Day.
