Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Pretty baskets are one of my favorite finds because I love their versatility. I often use them for decorative storage, in the garden, and for gifts. Today I'm sharing several that I upcycled to use for storage in my bedroom, both before and after.
I love the shape of the sturdy handled basket pictured above. The round basket below is nice and large, but isn't too tall to slide underneath a piece of furniture.
The woven texture of this one reminds me of lace!

Last but not least, this unique lidded basket may be my favorite.
I prefer to spray paint baskets. In case you're wondering, to achieve a consistent whitewashed look, I gave each basket a light coat of Chalked spray paint.
My next post will be on Tuesday, when I share my vintage Valentine tablescape!
Until next time, happy hunting!
I've just been doing this same thing - painting baskets. #smartstorage is a trend I want to get ahead of for my 2020 show schedule. Yours look great.
ReplyDeleteI've spray painted baskets for years too. I like darker colors for decorating like a deep green. I've also oversprayed with a metallic gold very lightly and from a good distance back to add a bit of sparkle and shine for gift baskets.
ReplyDeleteThese look beautiful, Cecilia! I've been working on a painting basket project, too! I haven't tried the spray chalk paint yet...looks good!
ReplyDeleteCecelia,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by and for your kind comments!!
Hugs,
Debbie
