Welcome to Vintage Charm Party #215, and today we are excited to announce the 2019 Vintage Charm Feature of the Year!
Drum roll please... for the 2019 Vintage Charm Feature of the Year:
Congratulations to Denise @ My Thrifty House
Our friend, Denise from My Thrifty House, participated in a Thrift Store Decor Challenge resulting in this Beautiful DIY Deconstructed Chair. Wow! Needless to say, Denise was thrilled when she and her hubby discovered the chair's beauty hidden under five layers of upholstery. She credits her hubby for removing hundreds of staples--now that's commitment--one chair down and one to go! Visit Denise and her DIY hubby for more details!

VINTAGE CHARM FEATURES OF THE WEEK:
Cecilia’s Pick
Dandelion B's Diary of Me shared whimsical handmade snowman hoop art in Hoop, Hoop, Hooray! It's Wintertime and she also provided the pattern so you can make some too! Of course, I love that she used thrifted hoops--too cute!
Kathleen’s Pick
Our friend Amalia of Handmade By Amalia is not only talented with her hands, but with her words as well. Her artful handiwork brightens up our days, along with her cheerful, sometimes (dare I even say it?) cheeky poems. This time she created a colorful winter blanket that makes me want to curl up on the couch with a good book. Visit The Brave New Year to learn how she made it and to read her truly inspiring poem!

Party Guidelines
Content: Submit up to three posts that involve vintage finds, crafts, DIYs, or other vintage subject matter. Please do not submit Etsy or items for sale.
Link-back: Be sure to include the Vintage Charm button or a text link back to the party in your linked post. This is mandatory to be featured.
Visitation: Please visit other blog posts—after all, that’s what a link up is all about. When pinning, please go to the source of a photo to pin it to Pinterest, so the originator of the post gets the credit.
Hostess Love: Consider following each of your party hostesses blogs and/or one or more forms of social media. We love connecting with each of our guests and will be highlighting features on all of our social media.
Spread the Word: Consider mentioning Vintage Charm on your social media to help spread the word and make this party a great experience for everyone.
Prizes: Keep in mind that each month we will select one of the month’s featured posts to be Featured on all four hostesses blogs. At the end of the year, one of the twelve monthly features will be selected as the Grand Prize Feature of the Year. Prize TBA.
Permission: By linking up to Vintage Charm you assert that the photographs are yours (or you have permission to use them), and you give your hostesses permission to feature them on social media or a blog party, with a link back to your blog. You likewise assert that the content of your post is also yours.
Our trusted linky party provider, InLinkz, has chosen to upgrade their party format. "So what does this mean for me?" you might ask. It's basically the same as the old format, however, it may look a bit different in its page design. As always you will provide your link, the name of your link and your email address along with a photo. In that respect it's no different than what you've always done. The only other thing you'll need to do is check the box next to : "I agree to the InLinkz terms of service and privacy policy." That's it. if you have any questions or problems with this upgraded format please let either Kathleen or Cecilia know and they'll be happy to help!

That is a beautiful chair! Thank you for featuring my hoops today. I have many more I have picked up thrifting and look forward to making unique items with them.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Cecilia, I am stunned and so very grateful for this recognition. You and the hostesses are beyond kind. My husband is going to be so flattered you included his hard work and efforts put into this chair. It's definitely our favorite project. Thank you! 😊
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post, Cecilia (and Kathleen!). Love the feature of the year (well-deserved), and Kathleen's pick this week. I am drawn to those granny square afghans, and pick them up at estate sales when I see them. I've sold them each time I do. Have a great rest of the week.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice! That chair is so cool. Hoping I can learn upholstery one of these days. Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteHi, Cecilia. Thanks for hosting and Happy New Year, Sandi
