A Box of Adventures for Ginger Grand!

Greetings Friends! This week I've had the joy of entertaining my five year old grandson, who I affectionately refer to as Ginger Grand. GG and both of my daughters reside in Colorado--one difficult transition for this Texas Mom/Tahtee! Youngest Daughter had to return to work, but she brought GG fo stay for his first big boy visit without Mommy.  We have had a blast and my house is going to feel awfully empty when his visit comes to a close in a few days.  Like most little ones, GG is a bundle of energy so I planned ahead with a box of adventures for us to share together...

Friday's Find #151

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Recently I attended one of my favorite annual neighborhood yard sales.  You know, where you can just park your car and hit several sales at once--aren't they the best? This sale was held at the pretty neighborhood where Audrey, at Timeless Treasures lives; in fact, it was at her sale a few years ago that we first met! I found so many treasures this year, I'll be sharing them for the next few weeks.  I was absolutely charmed by this vintage Cinderella pumpkin carriage cake topper.  It's definitely a keeper!

Vintage Market Days Comes to Town!

Greetings Friends! I truly love the small rural town I live in, but most vintage inspired or antique shows require the drive to Austin or at least Fredericksburg, so imagine my delight when I heard that Vintage Market Days was bringing a show right to my home town!

Friday's Find #150

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends!  Whenever I see crochet hooks and thread, I am reminded of my dear maternal grandmother, Mo-maw. She was a talented seamstress and taught me to crochet as young girl. As Iong as I can remember, an assortment of crochet thread, hooks, buttons and sewing notions were always within reach in her home.  When I came across a ziplock bag filled with this thread, the hook was tucked inside just as it is pictured, with a few rows already "worked," as Mo-maw would say, a further sweet reminder of days past...

Happy Wednesday Friends!  Several days ago I was planning a gift basket for a dear friend who was having surgery.  As I was hunting my stash for just the right basket, I came across a small wooden crate and had an ah-hah moment...
