Happy Monday, Friends! As promised, today I'm sharing Valentine's Day decor in my dining room. If you're like me and enjoy styling vintage treasures with bargain finds, check out these simple ways to pair old and new...
You may remember the heart-shaped lamp I scored during Christmas clearance at Ikea. I placed it on vintage hankies and draped it with a handmade doily garland.
To create a seasonal vignette, I added a vintage valentine, Scrabble tiles, and a thrifted vintage bobbin spool mini floral arrangement.
Last week, I shared my Love Birds Vintage Valentine Tablescape.
While the tablescape showcases vintage dishes and treasures from my collections, it also features a few newer items like the seltzer bottles.
If you look closely, you can see my mantel peeking through the chandy...
I found the fun candles at Dollar Tree.
The blush-colored glass pieces were clearance finds from Pier One and Michael's.
The milk glass candlestick and mercury glass heart were thrifted finds, and I made the button heart several years ago.
Here's a view of the whole mantel.
On the wall to the left, is the ugly duckling dresser I transformed and...
...my recent dishaholic valentine vignette.
Do you prefer staying in or going out for Valentine's Day?
Cecilia, I adore all of your pretty Valentines! LOVE those plates girl. I too am a disholic. MERCY! That's why I have my own little She-Shed. LOL! Those plates with the cupids are just too adorable. Such pretties you have. Happy Valentines day to you. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Love your mantle decor. I have a cellar woodstove, not currently used that has a brick mantle, BUT I want a living room fireplace (with electric logs) so I can do decor!!!! Someday! Also like the pink and blush for a peaceful change instead of garish red and magenta pink! And love those transferware dishes!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is too pretty! And as you know, I, too, love mixing old, thrifted and new items. It's fun to do:) xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteI love the way you are mixing in old with new. I think I have plates with silver birds that match your plates with gold birds. And, I love your button heart, I made posts on 2 button projects recently. :) Happy Valentines Day!
