Pairing Old and New Valentine Decor in the Dining Room


Happy Monday, Friends! As promised, today I'm sharing Valentine's Day decor in my dining room. If you're like me and enjoy styling vintage treasures with bargain finds, check out these simple ways to pair old and new...

You may remember the heart-shaped lamp I scored during Christmas clearance at Ikea. I placed it on vintage hankies and draped it with a handmade doily garland.

To create a seasonal vignette, I added a vintage valentine, Scrabble tiles, and a thrifted vintage bobbin spool mini floral arrangement.

While the tablescape showcases vintage dishes and treasures from  my collections, it also features a few newer items like the seltzer bottles.

If you look closely, you can see my mantel peeking through the chandy...

The blush-colored glass pieces were clearance finds from Pier One and Michael's.

The milk glass candlestick and mercury glass heart were thrifted finds, and I made the button heart  several years ago.

  3. Love your mantle decor. I have a cellar woodstove, not currently used that has a brick mantle, BUT I want a living room fireplace (with electric logs) so I can do decor!!!! Someday! Also like the pink and blush for a peaceful change instead of garish red and magenta pink! And love those transferware dishes!!!!
