Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! A few weeks ago, I went to a swap meet in the local AG barn and scored several junk-tastic finds, starting with this round architectural piece. Except for the shape, it puts me in mind of a vintage ceiling tile. I love the pattern, colors, and patina and will probably use it in the garden...
I love the old textile bobbin spindles and I don't have a shorty like this one!
When I bought this vintage camp stove, I got the same type of responses from curious onlookers as I did when I scored my vintage rake at the flea market. They're even the same green! You may notice it doesn't have the propane tank. Since I plan to repurpose it, I left it with the vendor--no safety hazards, here. Stay tuned--I have a plan!
Last but not least, I have been keeping an eye out for vintage tools and honed in on this old lug wrench from across the aisle. The vendor laughed when she saw me make a beeline for it!
Until next time, happy hunting!
What interesting finds! Is the lug wrench to be used as a tool or are you going to upcycle it! I love the spool; I think I would turn it into a Christmas tree ornament with a coat of decoupage to protect the label! The camp stove made me cringe; I remember doing SOMETHING wrong 35+ years ago when tent-camping trying to light ours; as a result, I lost the tips of my eyelashes and eyebrows. Never lit it again! The next year we got a 14' camper with a 3 burner gas stove! Still miss that camper!
