Happy Monday, Friends! Have you ever noticed that there seems to be a larger selection of cute dish towels than there are cloth napkins? I'm sure that's one of the reasons it has become popular to use pretty towels as napkins. That works for most dinner place settings but is too large for serving tea or dessert. When I came across a pretty cotton herb towel in Target's dollar bins, I was inspired to use one towel to create two napkins. If you want to make your own, follow these three easy steps...
1. Cut the towel into equal halves.
2. Use an iron to press the folded hem of the raw edge.
3. Stitch the hemmed edge!

Voila! Two pretty napkins in three easy steps for $1.50!
Those herb napkins are just so perfect for you! I have been using napkins and placemats to make throw pillows; never thought of using towels for napkins! Great upcycle!
ReplyDeleteI love these towels! So pretty. I buy WAY too many dish towels. Perhaps I should start making napkins lol. xo kathleen
