Sunny Painted Rooster

Happy Monday, Friends! As much as I paint, I constantly have little bits of leftovers that aren't enough for a big project, so I try to put them to use. Today I'm sharing a quick project using leftover paint from my recent bistro chair upcycle...

You many remember this little red rooster. He was a clearance find and I've had him for ages. I know some of my red-loving friends out there are going to prefer his original color, but faded red isn't pretty.

With fall around the corner, I decide to use the leftover golden sunset shade to give my rooster a sunny makeover that will also complement my seasonal decor.

I had just enough to give him a thorough coat of fresh paint.

  2. Loved your upcycle. Was in Hobby Lobby this week and saw similar ones in at least 3 different colors. He's definitely cheerful looking!

  4. Although I do love red, I agree that when it's faded it's time for a change! And yellow comes in as my 2nd favorite color. This post reminds me I have a few painting projects of my own I need to attend to...but think I will wait until the weather cools. Being outside in 110 degrees (with heat index) is not the way I want to spend my days!!!
