Broken Chair to Garden Sign: Good Day Sunshine!

Greetings Friends! Years ago, I found this whimsical metal sun at a yard sale. Something about him just makes me smile and he's been hanging on a tree in my garden ever since. Recently, he inspired a repurposed garden sign...

This is what's left over from a broken rocking chair--also from a yard sale, but unfortunately after a few years the wooden legs rotted. I held on to the chair back thinking it would make a fun garden sign and only recently hung it next to Mr. Sun. On the same tree, there's Ginger Grand's swing hanging toward the back, and just below it is the Gnome Sweet Home, we created during his visit. The turquoise cup that appears to be random is actually part of a collection, but I'll share more on that another time. Back to today's project...

I started with some letter stencils...

....and then added some flower power!

I used yellow craft paint for the lettering and a combination of turquoise and yellow for the flowers.

This vintage lawn chair was the first of its kind I scored from a yard sale. See my other upcycled yard sale chairs here. The perfect place to relax...
