Stop and Smell the Roses Vintage Summer Mantel

Happy Monday, Friends! What's the weather like in your neck of the woods? It may be early May, but the weather feels like summer here in Texas. In that spirit, I've styled a light and airy summer mantel featuring vintage milk glass and beautiful heirloom roses.

Last month, I shared my spring garden, including pink and yellow knock-out roses. Since then, my larger heirloom roses have bloomed...

...so I couldn't resist bringing the gorgeous blooms indoors to create a charming early summer mantel.

I kept my floral-adorned chalkboard from my spring mantel and added a trio of vintage milk glass vases to display these beautiful blooms.

As a finishing touch, I used a pretty crocheted lace-trimmed vintage hankie to pick up the pink hues in the flowers. Now don't forget to stop and smell the roses!

  1. Oh, milk glass and pink roses, 2 of my very best favorites! And together! Do you save the petals to make pot pourri with after they fade? I add rose oil to mine after they have dried and the smell lasts a LONG time! In Maine, I am still waiting for my rugosas to leaf out--I see that I have some pruning to do!!!
