Happy Thursday, Friends! I'm delighted to be joining my talented friends for the
Bloggers' Best Spring Home Tour hosted by
Kelly from The Tattered Pew. Each day this week six different bloggers will give you a peek into their homes as we welcome spring...
If you hopped over after visiting
Libbie from A Life Unfolding, welcome! Today I'll show you how I blend my timeworn vintage decor with newer finds. When I think of "new," I include fresh seasonal accents, recently crafted handmade or upcycled decor, and new-to-me thrifted or clearance bargains.
Below is a less-photographed view of my kitchen. While I'm fond of my vintage collections and style, the layout of my small kitchen makes it challenging to photograph. (Picture me alternately climbing onto a step-stool and backing into doors and walls.😉) You can find
my easy lighting upgrade here, and see my
15 minute EAT sign upcycle here.
Here's one more view of the kitchen before we head to...
...the dining room where I've centered my $1 yard sale vintage chalkboard on the gallery wall of upcycled thrift store frames above the mantel that's styled with simple spring accents.
I recently swapped the wicker chair that was in this spot with this estate sale chair I reupholstered with toile.
I scored these pretty bottle vases at Dollar Tree and they complement my
upcycled vintage buffet and transferware plate collection nicely.
If you've ever been hesitant to purchase a rug online because you were uncertain if the colors on the screen would be accurate,
my new rug looks even lovelier in the room--a happy surprise!
I scored this adorable vintage bunny light at an estate sale.
After multiple failed attempts to find pretty fresh flowers locally, I was thrilled to discover these realistic tulip bouquets online in
pink and
white.
Now we've come full circle back to the dining room! I created a simple centerpieces with flowers and vintage collectibles nestled in my favorite basket tray.

It was WONDERFUL seeing your kitchen in a full-view shot, Cecilia! And even some bigger shots of your living room and dining area! Everything looks so nice. I can relate to the 'close-quarters' for camera shots. I have found my 10-20mm lens helps a GREAT deal, and it's not to pricey, at all! ;-) Pinned!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely Spring home, Cecilia!! I adore all of your milk glass and the vintage transfer plates on the wall. Everything looks so cohesive together. Pinned!
