Happy Monday, Friends! Have you ever felt conflicted about changing up your decor? Recently, I struggled a bit about painting a chair that would be a better fit in a different space. In the end, I decided that even a pretty before can benefit from change...
If you've seen any of my home tours, you've probably noticed my pink wicker chair next to my vintage buffet, pictured most recently during my last holiday tour.
After updating my living room rug recently, I decided the space needed a gray chair--you know how one thing leads to another when it comes to decorating! My pink wicker was the best candidate for a makeover, and I had the perfect paint on hand for the task: Deco Art Chalky Finish in the Yesteryear shade.

Since it doesn't have any unpleasant fumes, I painted indoors during nasty weather. I gave it two thorough coats.
Freshly painted in its new home!
Did you notice my new rug peeking out from the corner?! It's always hard to know how accurate a colored pattern will look compared to the online image, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received it--the two shades of blue and gray are just right! Here's a closer peek at the pattern, and you'll see more of it during my spring home tour next month.
I'm loving the painted wicker with the pillow I painted several years ago. (You can see the how-to here!)
HONORED TO BE FEATURED HERE:

ReplyDeleteYour chair is lovely and that pillow is perfect with it. Your new rug is gorgeous! Maine is too muddy for me to have such a light color--snow again tonight!
