Happy Thursday, Friends! It's time for this month's Creative Craft Blog Hop hosted by Sara at Birdz of a Feather! I paired mini mushrooms I scored during holiday clearance sales and a small sign I bought years ago at a yard sale to craft a mini makeover for spring...
If you hopped over after visiting Carol from Bluesky at Home, welcome! When I found the mushrooms on clearance, I wanted to find a different use than the expected fairy garden. I soon realized that they are so tiny that they could easily "get lost," so I dug through my smaller decor and found this small garden sign. First: I painted the mushrooms in the shades pictured below. Next: I replaced the sign's black ribbon hanger with pink velvet I had on hand. Then: I dipped the tip of the paintbrush in white craft paint to create the mushroom dots.
Last: I attached moss to the top of the sign with spray adhesive, and secured the mushrooms on top with adhesive dots. (The moss, spray and adhesive dots were all purchased at Dollar Tree.)

You proved how a simple makeover can make a huge impact! I love the extra personality you added using the mushrooms and moss.
ReplyDeleteLoved the redo of the mushrooms. Amazing what a bit of paint can do! Like the muted colors; the green reminds me of you Jadeite! At Dollar Tree yesterday, I got a gnome on a ladder that is supposed to hang off a plant pot. I am going to add some Christmas accents and call him an elf for my eventual Santa's workshop roombox!
