Happy Monday, Friends! It's been said that a picture is worth a thousand words. While I can't take credit for this one, I found the image of Dear Firstborn taking in the expansive mountain view quite symbolic of what lies ahead for her. I'm so proud to congratulate My Girl...
...on earning her Master's Degree! Dear Firstborn has worked so hard to complete this goal, and she's maintained a 4.0 grade point average, as well. The photo above was taken at the home of her roommate's parents near Carter Lake in Colorado, just a few weeks prior to successfully defending her thesis (pictured below with her teachers and advisers.)
Though DF elected not to walk the ceremony as she did for her Bachelor of Arts, we will have the opportunity to celebrate her special achievement with our family in Houston over the Christmas holidays. This homeschool mom couldn't be prouder!

When I went to Colorado for Thanksgiving, we spent a fun day exploring the shops in downtown Ft. Collins where Dear Firstborn treated me to a delicious belated birthday lunch at The Kitchen.

Forgive the screenshot image of DF's acknowledgements, but they were too sweet not to share!
I'm so excited to see the adventures that await Dear Firstborn as she begins this new chapter in her life!
Drop by Wednesday, for the Christmas edition of the Vintage Charm party!
Congratulations to your daughter, Cecilia! That was truly one of my most rewarding personal achievements, as I'm sure it will be your daughter's. And congratulations to you, her life coach!

Congratulations Aimee!!! What a great achievement for you! Congratulations to you also Cecilia! I know how thrilled you are too! ♥
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your daughter and you! I never knew what the phrase "heart swelling with pride" meant until I had kids!! Accomplishments like that can never be taken away. In today's world, knowing that a woman can support herself in a well paying job on her own is a relief to a mom, too! I was grateful for the sacrifices my mom made (working at UNH so I could get tuition half off) so that I had a college education.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you for being an inspiration and your daughter for her dedication to her studies.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Congratulations to you both!!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
