Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! Are you ready for this week's fabulous finds? Today I'm featuring an assortment of textiles, starting with a pair of wonderful feed sacks...
I found these screen print fabric panels called Feed Sack Art still in the packages at Salvation Army. They are signed by the artist, dated 1987, and are absolutely pristine. I can think of all sorts of fun farmhouse projects for them. The red one is AVAILABLE HERE! The blue one is AVAILABLE HERE!
This lovely cross-stitch sampler was a garage sale find. AVAILABLE HERE!
Last but not least, I found three different bolts of Ikea children's fabric. The nearest Ikea is a good three hour drive for me, so I rarely go, but I have always loved their whimsical children's department. These are all dated 2007 and are in perfect condition. The fabric measures 47" x 118." The first features animals driving an assortment of "cars": a cow in a teacup, a frog in a chair, a cat in a shoe, etc. Isn't it cute? AVAILABLE HERE!
The next is a colorful geometric pattern that reminds me of teepees or circus tents. AVAILABLE HERE!
The third also features whimsical animals. Some of them are holding garden tools and some of them are riding in carts. AVAILABLE HERE!
Until next time, happy hunting!
Great finds! I love going thrifting! Hugs,
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! Did you find >1 each of the screen prints. Would make great pillows! Think the IKEA cloth would be great for a kid's room--valance, curtain, pillowcase, etc. as the colors have a common theme.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, those are great finds! Love the IKEA fabrics - they are adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find...love finding textiles!
ReplyDeleteLove these! Several years ago I was in an antique store and found some flour sacks from the flour company where my mother had been a bookkeeper for several years. I gave them to her and she was delighted:) I always enjoy seeing what you find.
