Happy Tuesday, Friends! If you love a good two-for-one bargain--or blog hop--today I am delighted to join not one, but two groups of talented bloggers! First, early birds can visit the Halloween Tablescape Hop hosted by Rita at Panoply. Then Autumn on a Tray hosted by Katherine's Corner will go live a few hours later...
I'll be alternating whimsical jadeite tray and table decor for the season and including links for both hops at the end of the post. Now that the housekeeping is out of the way-welcome to all! For those heading over after visiting Ricki at the Bookish Dilettannte, wasn't her tablescape charming?
When I scored these bird plates at the thrift store several years ago, I found them slightly sinister and the Alfred Hitchcock movie came to mind. I know my tablescaping friends have seen displays featuring my vintage jadeite in several color palettes with lots of dishes from my collection, but I realized I hadn't ever paired it with black and white and I am really enjoying the combination!
If you hopped over after visiting Angie's tray from Ambielle Flower Co, wasn't it lovely? Although I don't actually have a tiered tray, I like to combine my jadeite cake stands to stagger the height of my vignettes. I also enjoy using natural accents like acorns, dried oranges, and wheat bundles as autumnal accents.
This vintage squirrel is an orphan S & P shaker that I love to bring out for the season. Doesn't he look mischievous?!
Here's several more views of jadeite tray decor...
I'm so glad you stopped by today, and I hope you'll enjoy visiting both hops for seasonal table and tray decor!
Stay tuned--next week I'll be sharing the recipe for these yummy mini chocolate cheesecakes!

ReplyDeleteThis is all so cute! I love how you staggered the cake stands - what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, I adore Jadeite, however I don't own any (i just can't start another collection). Love the cake pedestals. I would so enjoy sitting at this table, make no "bones" about it!
ReplyDeleteI'm in LOVE with your gorgeous green glass pedestal and dishes! THOSE are things I'd like to find while thrifting for sure. My eyes are open when it comes to your tray :-) !!! Jenny from Not Entirely Average
ReplyDeleteWell, this was a surprise, seeing two blog hops combine in one! Very cute tablescape, I love those bird plates, and the message on the typewriter begs for the recipe to the chocolate cheesecakes! Your tray makes for the start (or complement, whichever the case may be) for the table setting. Nice!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Cecelia and the little skeltons are too cute. Especiaslly haning out on the typewriter. Now if they type in the middle of the night watch out, LOL. Pinned!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the tablescape! Just perfectly spooky. Pinned!

Coordinating an autumn tray with a Halloween table marries two disparate themes when both are in view at the same time. The cool tones of your jadeite contrasts well with autumn's textures and the black touches of the spooky season!
ReplyDeleteHi Cecelia, I must tell you I wasn't expecting skellies from you!! Your Jadite tray is lovely and I was wondering how you were going to incorporate the bird plates and then all of a sudden it all came together with a vintage typewriter with a page declaring Bone Appetit, spiders and skellies! Wonderful Halloween fun!!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Your Jadite looks great with your Hitchcock like bird plates!! (That movie still makes me shudder!!) love, love, love the typewriter with the Bone Appetit!! So cute!!! I hope you have a fun Halloween!!🧡🎃
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the jadeite cake stands for height and that little squirrel is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCecelia, I always love seeing your lovely Jadeite collection. You have styled it so beautifully with those sweet bird plates. Your table is both pretty and fun for Halloween. Your tray is also beautiful, and the little squirrel is precious!
ReplyDeleteCecelia, I have always admired your jadeite collection. The bird plates are wonderful paired with the green. I love seeing a message on the typewriter. Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteYour bird plates with the Jadeite is amazing! I love how fall and spooky came together. That little loner squirrel is so cute. Wonderful tray! Happy to be touring with you. Pinned!
ReplyDeleteCecelia, such a sweet presentation with your lovely green jadeite and those cute little skeletons. Also enjoyed your tray presentation. It's wonderful to see how everyone incorporates their special treasures for a special occasion. Happy Halloween and Happy Fall! Lynne

ReplyDeleteCecelia, I have jadeite envy every time you share your collection. Love your bird plates paired with the green and the addition of the skellies and vintage typewriter for Halloween. It's a treat to join you at the table and hop with you again. Happy October!
Hi Cecelia I love your tray! Those plates are so cute! Waiting for the cupcake recipe too! xo laura
ReplyDeleteCecelia, Jadeite can be used for every season, which makes it a good purchase! And the way you used the cake stands for a tiered look gave you the ability to adjust them on the tray - something that you can't do with a regular tiered stand. It all flows together beautifully!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Rachelle
What a spooktacular tray! I love that sweet little squirrel. How clever to use one salt and pepper shaker as a figurine. Love it!!Thank you so much for participating in the welcome autumn on a tray blog tour. Pinned and Hugs!!
ReplyDeleteYour Jadeite collection is so lovely, and I agree, those plates with the birds could be a little creepy. Perfect with all of the decor you added to your tabletop! Such fun! I spotted an old typewriter for sale at Magnolia in Waco. I was tempted, but with no practical way to get it home, I passed. I will keep looking for one near me!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with those gorgeous bird plates, and your Fall Tray with the jadeite pedestals is such a pretty addition to the tablescape. Black and white is always a great color base for Halloween. Happy Week, Cecilia!
ReplyDeleteLove how you used a vintage typewriter for your centerpiece, with the skeletons scattered about.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw jadite in your title, I got all excited because I love it. Your tablescape is so cute! I like your tray, too.
ReplyDeleteI always love any post that features your Jadeite. I think other people have already snatched most of it up in Maine--that or it is priced astronomically! I love those skellies as they are dollhoused sized--always a priority with me. The Bone Appetit was so clever, too.
ReplyDeleteYou had me at Jadeite and pulled me in with all the other little details. Also, I'm in love with the pumpkin candle. Instant smile for me. Also, I have a vintage typewriter that I never know how to use, and you definitely gave an idea on how to incorporate it!
ReplyDeleteYou know I have been a huge fan of your jadeite collection. It fits beautifully in any and all of the tablescapes that you create. The message and typewriter with the skeletons are an awesome centerpiece too. Those delicious chocolate mini cheesecakes have me wanting to bake something rich and chocolatey like that. I can just taste it. The black and white bird plates do give a slightly eerie tone and contrast to the lovely delicate misty green jadeite. So awesome for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteYour jadeite pieces look so striking against the black ~ love!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, your beautiful jadeite really pops with the black accents! I love the typewriter with the skeletons...I think those are the same guys that I used as well from Dollar Tree. Those chocolate cheesecakes look so good. I'm going to stop back for the recipe :). It was fun hopping with you. Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you Cecilia, the jadeite really adds dimension and the squirrel is so cute and the cake pedestals add layers. Enjoyed the tour.
ReplyDeleteI love your jadeite collection. the tray looks great!
