Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! I'm not sure what it is about vintage rolling pins, but on the rare occasions I come across them at thrift stores, they always catch my eye. Recently I scored two at different places...
I really love the one with the green handles!
Since I've sold several repurposed retro spoon displays, at Secret Garden Herbs, I rarely pass on them now. It's actually been awhile since I've seen any, so I grabbed this one!
I have plans for a fun way to use these pom-pom curtains...
...and these two sets of...
...rustic metal shower curtain hooks. Stay tuned!
Until next time, happy hunting!
I love those rolling pins, too! I have that same green-handled one, it was my grandmothers.
ReplyDeleteI have a couple spoon display racks as well. My favorite is shaped like the United States, which I grabbed quickly when I saw it $4.99. I use it to display a collection of state spoons from Rogers Brothers make in 1921. I am always on the look out for states I'm missing. Of course some Alaska & HI we not states at that time.
ReplyDeleteI almost bought one (rolling pin) yesterday at Goodwill but knew that if I did it would not stop there and I'd have another collection on my hands!lol Love yours. And love that curtain, too. xo Kathleen
ReplyDeleteGreat finds; can't wait to see what you do with them! I don't dare start collecting state/country spoons; I do pick them up to sell when I find them reasonably, though. I've managed to not collect rolling pins either--I love those old maple ones...and hollow ceramic ones that you can put ice water in! My kitchen gets hot when making sugar cookies with cutters!
ReplyDeleteMy mom made white curtains with white pompoms just like this for my bedroom whenI was young.I still like the look!
