Romantic Vintage Valentine Tablescape

Happy Friday, Friends! Welcome to the Valentine's Day Tablescape Blog Hop, hosted by Chloe at Celebrate and Decorate! If you're new here, welcome! I have absolutely loved visiting all of the gorgeous tablescapes all week. I've gathered some favorites--from my vintage collections as well as a few handmade projects to create a romantic vintage Valentine tablescape...

If you've been here before, you know in addition to being addicted to thrifting, I'm a dishaholic, too! I love layering dishes. I've had the vintage Noritake china and the gold flatware for over thirty years--that's right, I received them as a child--wink, wink! The pink plates are vintage Hazel Atlas Moderntone, and the sweet little floral plates are Homer Laughlin Georgian. Both dish sets were thrifted finds, as were the lace napkins and tart tins.

Here's a closer peek at the floral plates, and my upcycled tart tins.

I've had these little love bird salt and pepper shakers for ages--they were on clearance at Pier One. {See how to pair fresh baby's breath with faux greenery, here!}

You may have noticed I layered runners, too. The nubby ombre blush and rose "runner" is actually a handmade scarf I found at one of my favorite local church bazaars.

I crafted my first DIY dollar store peony wreath last year about this time of year. I've enjoyed it so much that it's displayed year round in my bedroom--so I made a second one this year.

  1. Love the reflection in your mirror of your lovely table! Your scarf provides such a warm and cozy runner for your table along with all your thrifty finds. Happy to be blog hopping with you this week, Happy Valentine’s Day. ♥

  2. Cecilia, I adore this table, from that nubby textured scarf as runner to the sleek gold flatware (really, 30 yrs, wow?! what's old is definitely new and trendy again!). The plate stack with Noritake, Hazel Atlas and Homer Laughlin are really beautiful together (And the latter 2 were WV based companies!). Your finds are always so fun to see, and to see what you do with them. Great table, nice way to end the week with fellow bloggers.

  9. So sweet. I like the use of your double runner and your tulips in the cherub vase. So adorable. The texture in your second pink runner is an added touch. It goes so well with the little bird cages and lily of the valley greenery. What a lovely combination of pieces. Happy Valentine's Day.

  12. Cecilia I love your Hazel Atlas vintage dishes, as I have them in pink crinoline and blue crinoline....love the softness of the hues. Taking a pic through the mirror gave us another prospective of your table and it is lovely. The little white bids salt & peppers are so cute and I believe I will try my hand at making the dollar store peony wreath. I can't grow peonies in Florida, but the wreath would give me peonies year round. Happy Valentine's Day! Kari @ Me and My Captain
