Happy Monday, Friends! Today I'm sharing a family favorite: homemade herb sea salt. Whether you blend an assortment of herbs like I have or prefer a single herb, I'll show you how to create this flavorful homemade seasoning as well as packaging tips for gift giving
Here's what you'll need to make your own herbs superb: (Favorite Son's nickname for my herb recipes)
4 tablespoons dried herbs per cup of coarse sea salt
Optional: jars for gift giving (I recycled Oui jars and used these lids.)
I started by air drying fresh herbs but you can also use your favorite dried herbs. If you prefer drying fresh herbs, you can save time by oven drying them on a parchment lined pan at 150-200 degrees. Just be careful not to scorch them--they are ready to come out once you can easily crumble them. Allow them to cool thoroughly before crumbling them between your palms and blending them with the sea salt. TIP: If you dried fresh rosemary, I recommend grinding it in a food processor before blending it with the sea salt.
Optional: Package herb salt in decorative jars and label for gifts. I recycled Oui jars and used these lids.
SEASONINGS GREETINGS!
Such a wonderful gift idea, Cecilia!
