Happy Monday, Friends! Do you have a favorite copper polishing tip? Today I'm sharing some thrifted copper pieces that I finally got around to polishing. I'll show you the before and after plus what I used to achieve the results in less than 15 minutes...
You may remember that I scored several pieces of vintage copper from an antique market when I visited my daughters in Colorado last fall.
Start by adding the cleanser to a damp cloth or pad. Next, using the pad, apply the BKF to the copper surface. You'll notice it starts to clean almost immediately. You can scrub a little harder for stubborn stains as needed. Last, rinse off the cleanser and pat dry.
HONORED TO BE FEATURED HERE:
I used Bar Keeper's Friend on a very old, heavy copper bowl that was grungy with dirt and grime from hanging in a home's kitchen (estate sale find). It came very clean (almost too clean!) by simply using my fingers. That's stuff's amazing.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try this...I have a copper colander that has GREEN PATINA which I kinda liked but.....????????
ReplyDeleteWOW! I have heard many people swear by this and my old Revere copper bottom pans deserve this! In the old days, I always polished them before my mother-in-law came to visit. Now on count on boiled over potato water and spaghetti sauce to make a dent!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a difference! I love Bar Keeper's Friend, but I haven't tried it on copper yet. Copper is my late fall color, so I hope I can find some new pieces to add to my collection at the thrift stores. Now I know I can clean any piece up. I'd love for you to come over and share your posts over on Crafty Creators Link Party, open Thursdays at 6am CST thru Monday nights. Hope to see you there!

ReplyDeleteBar Keeper’s Friend is great stuff! Except on my hands, lol!
ReplyDeleteThey look great! But I can’t decide which I like better—the weathered look or the polished look!
Thanks for sharing this at the Sunday Sunshine Blog Hop
