Happy Monday, Friends! Do you decorate for Valentine's Day? Over the years, I've crafted new projects and I have a few favorites that make annual appearances, but this year I decided to decorate my tree for the occasion. Come see how I shopped my home to create romantic vintage decor complete with twinkling lights...
I started by leaving the lights and pink velvet ribbon that were already on my Christmas tree. (I was literally packing away my ornaments, when I got inspired to decorate a Valentine's Day tree.)
By shopping my home, I avoided buying anything new. Instead, I raided my craft stash for doilies, vintage trim, and anything heart-shaped, like the handmade tin heart I used as a tree topper.
Next, I added several vintage valentines and past projects like these toile heart trios.
Recently I shared not-so-Christmas-y clearance finds. When you shop seasonal markdowns, keep an eye out for heart-shaped ornaments like the white coastal version above and the ornate brass one below.
A heart sachet filled with lavender looks lovely and smells heavenly! Did you notice the sweet flower trim that I tucked in the tree branches? I love finding vintage trims and notions at thrift stores.
Dollar store flowers like this DIY peony garland are a thrifty way to add more pretty accents.

HONORED TO BE FEATURED BY:
Gosh, that's beautiful, Cecilia! I'm crushing on that crushed pink velvet ribbon, especially! Finding new treasures to add your Valentine tree really makes this winter January tolerable. We have another snow event today, and this one comes with dangerous ice and downed power lines for several of my family in the area. Stay cozy.
