Happy Monday, Friends! Does your home feel bare after you pack up your holiday decor? Today I'm hosting several friends and we're sharing winter decor transitions to warm up your spaces and welcome the season...
The last few years I've let greenery and twinkling lights linger through January to beat the winter blahs. As soon as I unwrapped these beautiful metallic snowflake ornaments that Dear Firstborn embroidered, I knew I wanted to feature them in my winter decor.
Today I'll show you how simply I transitioned my Christmas mantel to welcome winter.
Here, you can see I kept the remaining greenery and tiny lights but I swapped the trio of wreaths for my trio of snowflakes and added a frame to showcase them. Aren't they lovely?!
Here's a closer peek at the sparkly metallic thread Dear Firstborn used.
Next, I traded my vintage typewriter for a few winter botanicals, including more fresh greenery in my head vase, Leonardo...
...and pretty paperwhite blooms from the bulbs I planted after Thanksgiving.
I'm so glad you stopped by today--next on the hop is Rita from Panoply and you'll get a glimpse of the cozy winter decor in her new home! Be sure to scroll down to visit the rest of my talented friends for more charming winter decor transitions!

Cecilia, those cross-stitch snowflakes are a perfect winter complement to your paperwhites and greenery. We received the actual thing on Friday - 10"! I much prefer the kind you have, but cozy is key in both situations. Thank you for the invitation to share our winter transitions with readers. It helped me put pen to paper, so to speak, in sharing our new home.
ReplyDeleteCross stitch was the first crafty skill I learned as a little girl and it's always held a special place in my heart. Darling! Enjoy your new winter view and stay warm!
