Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! As much as I miss thrifting, I have been staying close to home until Omicron reaches its peak in Texas. For today's Fridays at Home post, I'll show you how I refreshed some retro canisters from my previously thrifted collection...
After I painted my Keurig, I created a small coffee nook. These retro Westbend canisters have been displayed with groupings of collectibles in the space above my kitchen cabinets for ages. You can see they were pretty scratched up and needed some love. Here's how I refreshed them...
Firtst: I cleaned them thoroughly. Next: I used copper spray paint on the canisters. Then: I removed the knobs before spraying the lids white. Last: I painted the knobs green.
I thought about stenciling a cup or kettle design on the finished canisters, but once I added them to my coffee nook, I'm leaning toward the plain copper. Of course, I may change my mind at some point. 😉

Love these! Stencils may take away the beauty of the copper.
