Hello Friends! As we continue to stay at home, I'm curious what have you been up to? Do you take comfort in baking, gardening, or crafting, or do you find yourself drawn to the news? Sometimes, little changes in decor can make a big impact. Today I'm sharing some spring accents in the kitchen featuring my vintage jadeite collection, roses, and hankies...
You may remember that this repurposed potting stand is the first thing that greets me when I come in the backdoor, so I like to switch it up for the seasons. My vintage jadeite is displayed year round, and I shopped my home to brighten up the kitchen for spring. What do you collect or have on hand that you can use to refresh your space?
I pulled out several vintage hankies from my collection and used them to line the shelf.
Did you notice that I've only used three large roses here? I've found that single blooms can create sweet bouquets throughout my home!
Leave me a comment and let me know how you are brightening your space during pandemic!
That's a sweet entrance, Cecilia. I have some crocheted coasters like those, and I like how you made them into a banner. I haven't changed up my Spring/Easter decor yet, but I've been doing a lot of cooking and baking, and restocking my pantry. We walk almost daily, unless the weather forbids. It's all very strange, but I like keeping mostly to routine, so I try to do just that. Take care, and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteYour Jadeite dude is pretty and you adding the banner makes this sweet.
ReplyDeleteI've been painting furniture which I love. Exercising, cooking and adding more spring.

Good morning Cecilia ... love your jadeite and the way you display them. I have a few pieces, buy not displayed. Maybe I should work on that. Hope everything is good with your family. Hugs. Audrey
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty photo. I was an only child, so I have never had an issue with being alone, have always kept busy. Hubby and I have kept very busy, cleaning, organinzing, gardening, and I've been doing some serious blogging. Soon we will till the main garden and I have some serious plant moving to do, when frost is no longer an issue. For those who can't sit still, ask yourself, why? 'You' can be your best friend!
ReplyDeleteHugs and thanks for the pretty post! Sandi
So pretty, Cecilia! The jadite and flowers are so lovely for spring!
ReplyDeleteU loved the white roses; my house is littered with faux spring flowers but I seldom treat myself to live ones ('cept for outside! and my purple crocus were covered with 6-8" of last week's snow--darn!). Put my next-t0-the-last coat of Modge-Podge on my pink roses blown out eggs this am. Still alternating "shoulds and wannas"--did laundry and bills, now some fun!
ReplyDeleteI just love your Jadeite collection! My small collection was starting to grow, but now not so much:) Doilies ddd a romantic touch. We've been doing gardening work, yard fence project, organizing and decluttering, and I'm in the middle of a favorite painting project. Oh and dishes, lots of dishes . . . and laundry, lots of laundry . . . .LOL xo Kathleen
