Happy Monday, Friends! Now some of you may be thinking, "Christmas--it's not even Halloween yet!" Believe me, I get it, but I know that like me, many of you may prefer to finish Christmas crafts before the holiday rush. Plus, you'll have time to grab a candy cane wreath form from the dollar store while they last! Ready to make your own?
What you'll need:
Candy cane wire form
9 yards (about 3 spools) of desired trim
Double-sided tape
Greenery sprig, jute, and jingle bells
I found the wire form and the lace trim on the bottom at Dollar Tree. Before you get started, shop your home by raiding your craft stash for trims that complement each other. Position the double-sided tape in various places on the wire form.
Starting with the end of the trim at the back, just start wrapping and securing the trim as you go. Continue wrapping trim around the form until it is completely covered.
This was one of those times when necessity inspired creativity--I love how it turned out using the lace on the bottom. Last, use a piece of jute to attach a piece of greenery and a pair of jingle bells.
Very pretty!! Great idea, Cecelia!!

Really, really cute, Cecilia!
ReplyDeleteThat turned out SO cute, Cecilia! Very festive and creative!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a candy cane frame; love it! I do prefer the red edged trim to the lace, but that is probably because I've told the story about the candy cane in Sunday School one too many times!
