Friday's Find #145

Thank God it's thrifty Friday, Friends! This week's fab finds include two favorites among vintage collectors: milk glass and vintage linens....

I adore vintage milk glass and often display it on my mantel because I love the contrast of the milky white against the vibrant turquoise wall. Above, are recent finds and I paid less than $2 for all three!  You probably guessed these are keepers--I've already added flowers from my garden.  Below is another example of how I arranged milk glass on the mantel. For fall, I filled the pretty white vessels with garden herbs and selections from my local grocery store produce. Read more here.

Back to this week's finds... I have a few sets of similar vintage custard cups that I use often. They are just the right size for a healthy serving of dessert. Others must agree; I've sold several sets too. This set of 6 Pyr-o-rey Dynaware is in perfect condition. AVAILABLE

I found a pair of handmade vintage kitchen towels that are long enough to double as small table runners. There is some fading on the center of this one, but it's very soft and appears to have been well loved. There are so many lovely crafts created with vintage linens--it might the perfect candidate. AVAILABLE

  7. Your new milk glass is so showy in front of your pretty turquoise wall. Pretty pieces, especially the square one. That mushroom tablecloth looks like it would be perfect for your secret garden if it does not sell. Thanks for sharing. I actually took the day off and went to two garage sales today. What a treat.
