TGITF Friends! True confession: this week's fab finds literally had me playing dolls--with their sweet faces and adorable wardrobes, I was completely smitten with these handmade cloth paper dolls! I know I say it all of the time, but one of the best things about thrifting is the thrill of the hunt. I never know what I'll find...
Of course, it doesn't hurt that this little guy reminds me of a certain 5 year old Ginger I know!
I used to love paper dolls; the only disadvantage was having a doll or its clothes tear. These are bigger than the ones I remember too, large enough for little hands and since they're fabric--no tearing! AVAILABLE
Can you believe the clothes are even reversible? Someone put a lot of love into their creation!
Last time I looked for craft clothespins like these at the craft store, the price had increased quite a bit, so I was happy to find an unopened package for .50.
This colorful red, white and blue crib/toddler quilt features hand stitched quilting and a sweet rocking horse pattern. It is in excellent condition! AVAILABLE
I'm continuing to add inventory to my Baby Love shop section, and how cute are these retro Winnie the Pooh overalls? This looks like something my mother would have put on my baby brother in the early seventies and they are in perfect condition. See measurements and more details AVAILABLE here.
The shades of green in this crocheted doily are so lovely. AVAILABLE
Grabbing seasonal decor off season is the best way to save. When fall comes around, I'll be glad I picked up this burlap jack-o-lantern votive. He'll be cute with a candle or as an herb vase.
My grandmother had several pieces of this peach Lusterware by Fire-King. I've never seen a handled bowl this size before. AVAILABLE
Until next time, happy hunting!
Those "paper" dolls are adorable, Cecilia, as are those Pooh overalls. Nice finds this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the paper dolls! I've never seen any like them. The brunette one has my childhood haircut. Lol. I think it's why I love Canton so much, you just never know what you're going to find! Great finds this week. Hope your week has been going well.

ReplyDeleteGreat finds Cecilia ... new-to-me, unusual cloth paper dolls ... so CUTE. Overalls ... adorable. Good job and likely fast sellers in your Etsy shop.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen cloth paper dolls before. Would they be called paper dolls if they are cloth?
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely LOVE the paper dolls! I'm dating myself, but I always cut out the Betsy McCall paper dolls out of every issue of that magazine when I was little. Wish I still had them today!
ReplyDeleteI remember playing with paper dolls - I loved cutting them out, changing their clothes and creating stories for them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with SYC.
