Garden Fresh Centerpieces!

Greetings Friends! Has your weekend been relaxing?  Spring is always a busy season here before the weather gets too hot but I try to alternate projects with down time in the garden.  I really enjoy gathering and arranging blooms--the simpler the better!

Fresh centerpieces from the garden

A large garden or elaborate bouquet isn't necessary to brighten the room.  Below, herbs & honeysuckle create a lovely and fragrant display on my breakfast table.

A metal grasshopper and thrifted miniature garden tools add a touch of whimsy.

Garden whimsy

I fell in love with this ornately framed chalkboard and when I saw it was 50% off at Michaels, it had to come home with me. Chalkboard lettering is not my strong suit, so I buy chalkboard stickers when they are on sale.  After adding Bloom, it needed just a little something, so I used Simply Tacky to attach this tiny bee magnet.  I love that stuff--holds light weight items firmly and is completely removable and reusable!

You may remember the hankie and doily from my last tablescape--remember to shop your home first.  Most of the bottles are from my thrifted collection and I found the aqua bottles 50% off at Hobby Lobby.  Did you notice the vintage jewelry on some of the bottles? I love decorating with it and collect it from estate sales.

Last but not least, after arranging the bottles, I added roses and rosemary from my garden. Here's another peek at the dining table centerpiece...

I know I'm not the only one who shops my home and gathers from my garden--what about you?

  1. Love your roses Cecilia. Your rose bushes must be beautiful now. My honeysuckle is blooming like crazy ... need to bring some in the house. Love your pretty table decorations. Have a great Sunday. The rains have been wonderful, except for the weeds are growing too fast.
